The Los Angeles Fire Department says the accident was reported shortly before 10 a.m. on the arrival level outside of the Southwest airline section. Investigators found that a passenger van had hit two people on foot and then struck an airport structure.
One pedestrian victim involved declined medical attention, but the other was taken to the hospital. The driver of the van was also transported to the hospital. Both were listed in fair condition.
Investigators continue to work to determine the circumstances surrounding the frightening series of events.
